Archimedes' Laboratory
Visit Archimedes' Laboratory
I thought it would be cool to have everyone explore different parts of the website to discover great activities, games, etc. To get credit for taking part this week, all you need to do is find something you think others would be interested in and write an interesting review about it. I FOUND IT HELPFUL TO CLICK ON THE LINKS NEXT TO THE LARGE TRIANGLE, CIRCLE, AND SQUARE.
Here's what you do. When you visit Archimedes' Laboratory, look around throughout the website. Once you've found an activity, game, or other interesting item, come back to this page and create a post below with the following information. (Try to make captivate people's attention, and draw them to your activity!)
1. Give directions on how someone would find it from the home page of the Lab.
2. Give a brief description of the activity. (Is it a game, information page, etc. Give a one-sentence bit of detail to help us get an idea if we'd like it.)
3. Tell what you like about the activity, etc.
4. Tell what sort of person would like this activity. (For example: "If you love puzzles, you'll love this page."
Be sure to select NAME/URL under COMMENT AS: at the bottom of your post to include your name in the post. JUST PUT YOUR FIRST NAME, and YOU DO NOT NEED A URL entry - leave that BLANK!

I found the Droodles interesting. You get there by finding the 'search' button and typing in 'droodle'(Press enter). Click on the first one, Archemedes Droodles. Scroll down until you get to a purple speach bubble. Click on the Droodles Archive. Scroll down and you will see two droodles. You can see other people's comments on what they think the droodle means or is. Some of the comments are really funny. (This is probably and information page, because it has some info on it.)What I like about this activity is that you can guess what the droodle means or is and then see what other people thought. If you are a creative or doodling person, you will probably like this page.

I found Sarcone's visual Illusions interesting. You get there by finding the illusions and paradoxes tab on the top. Then you click on illusions of the month. Then you can read what this illusion is about. I think this is an information page beacause they explain how the illusion works. I like this activity because I really love illusions. If you like illusions you will love this page.

ReplyDeleteI found Magical Mental cards very fun. First, you search Magical Mental cards on the search tab at the top right corner. You click the first web that pops up. Click "click here" and follow the directions. You are suppose to pick a card then pick a swirly box depending on your mood then you click the middle of the 6 cards and TA-DA! :) Your card is gone!(Figure this puzzle out your self) What I like about it is very creative and mysterious. If you love being fooled or trying diffrent things out you will like this page just as I do check it out!!!!!!!!

I found a link in Archimedes' Laboratory and in the illousion section their was a thing called The hidden tiger. The hidden tiger is their and I had to find it with my parents without cheating!I would not spoil it but it was creative to put the "hidden tiger" there. It helped me because it let me practice to look closly and slowly to look for objects and other stuff.
ReplyDeleteTry to find it in the monthly illousins every time you are bored.
